Modulo is our designer modular wall that perfectly fits any type of interior, be it residential, commercial or professional.
The main characteristic of this boiserie is its modularity which allows for an extremely flexible design: it is possible to achieve a virtually endless variety of combinations by expanding, splitting or modifying the modules.
Our equipped wall Modulo consists of three main elements: the wall clamping frame, the multi-function accessories, and the panels, which are available in different materials and finishes.
Inspired by the concept of maximum simplicity, Modulo is a functional (both in terms of use and assembly) and aesthetically pleasing living area furniture system that perfectly satisfies the needs of modern living.
The design of our Modulo wall furniture system takes inspiration from one the leading figures of modern architecture: Ludwig Mies Van Der Rohe.
The works of Mies was based on two principles: order and functionality.
In his view, order is not something to be forced upon; on the contrary, it is the result of understanding the nature of things and must be sought relentlessly. Architecture, therefore, is a quest for the form that better suits the nature and function of things.
The ideal shape is the result of a path that from complexity leads to simplicity.
The meaning of his most famous quote, “Less is more” is therefore that the process of simplification is not for its own sake: the ideal proportions and dimensions and the proper use of materials come from the reduction of complex phenomena to their essential quality.
The German architect Ludwig Mies Van Der Rohe is the father of modernist architecture. He lived between two worlds: Avant-garde Europe, where he was born in 1886, and the America of modernity and skyscrapers, where he died in 1969.
Some of his major works are:

The way we conceive home-living is changing radically. Smart working, sociability, health, sustainability and Smart Living are all factors to take into account when designing contemporary furniture and interior environments.
Once, home was the place to go back to – at the end of the day – to spend some time with the family before going to bed; now, instead, home means office, school, yoga or dance classroom, gym, botanic garden and much more.
Since we spend more time at home than we used to, we need functional solutions to improve the accessibility of indoor spaces. Simplicity in place of complexity: that is the to key to get closer to what is truly essential to us and, therefore, best reflects our own idea of comfort.
Modulo is a living area system designed to meet the needs of contemporary living in pursuit of maximum simplicity and functionality.
“You know, everything is extremely complex in a building. To achieve greater clarity, we need to simplify virtually everything. It is a hard work to do. You need to fight, and fight, and fight.”
These words from Mies Van Der Rohe where the source of inspiration for designing Modulo, our equipped boiserie.
The result is a simple and functional modular wall system consisting of:
It can’t get easier than that.
We put a lot of effort into making the assembly of our designer fitted wall Modulo as easy as possible.
Standard wall plugs are needed to wall mount the frame.
No particular tools or operations are required.
Modulo’s covering panels are very easy to apply thanks to its unique magnetic clips that allow to easily remove the panels if a rear inspection of the module is needed.
The air gap between the wall and the modular system is empty and allows electric wires to run freely; as a consequence, plugs and connectors can be installed anywhere on the furniture system without removing the wall socket, thus avoiding expensive and annoying masonry works.

It is important to keep in mind that the real purpose and aim of an equipped wall in a room is both to decorate the walls and to provide functional and usable solutions for living.
For this reason, Modulo can be equipped with:
All of our compartments and accessories are designed to blend harmoniously with each other both in terms of shape and look, thus turning the living area into a sort of useful and functional “control panel” to meet the needs of everyday life.
Modulo is furniture item consisting of standard modules. The same elements can be combined with different outcomes in use, aesthetics and dimensions.
Therefore, every wall can be designed with virtually unlimited aesthetic and functional solutions.
There are two types of panels available for Modulo: Regular and Random.

“Nothing is lost, nothing is created, everything is transformed”: this is one of the principles on which our equipped boiserie Modulo is designed. By simply recombining the elements already in use and/or with small additions, through time the equipped wall can change its function, shape and look to meet the needs of the moment, while at the same time always complying with the principles of reuse and sustainability.
Uniquely designed with unique materials.
Both the panels and the accessories are available in a wide range of materials and finishes to allow maximum freedom of design and customization of your Modulo equipped wall.
In our vast selection of metals, woods, clays and laminated panels you will certainly find the material that best suit your tastes and needs.
